Eva “Bobby” Portia Paige, 92, of Helena, passed away August 10, 2011 of respiratory distress at the Cooney Convalescent Home. She was born to Peter V. and Bessie Jackson on November 15, 1918 in Morris, MT.
She grew up in Sheridan, MT and earned her Bachelor of Arts in Music Education. She married Lowell Paige on July 29, 1937. Lowell preceded her in death in 1989. She worked primarily as a housekeeper at Twin Bridges Orphans Home and Sheridan High School.
Among her favorite activities were playing bridge, gardening, and especially maintaining a very nice rose garden. She was a member of the Episcopal Church in Sheridan and Eastern Star.
She is survived by her sons, Ray Paige and Alan Paige; grandchildren, Sarah Paige, Gina MacIlwraith, Greg Paige, and Heather MacIlwraith; and great-grandchild, Dillon MacIlwraith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and son, Lowell Paige, Sr.
