Frank Ravnik passed away on October 9, 2017; just 12 days shy of his 98th birthday. Frank was a resident of Missoula, MT at the time of his passing & was born in Wolford County, Minnesota. He was a proud 5 star Navy Veteran in WWII. He worked for Montana Power Plant as an operator at the Hauser Lake Dam and then moved to St. Paul Minnesota where he was an electrician and a member of the IBEW Local Union 110 NECA chapter; he then moved back to Helena, MT and continued to work as an electrician. He retired in Helena, and then moved to Missoula where he has been a resident for over 30 years. Frank was an extreme hard worker in his life. He was the 4th of 9 siblings. He was an avid reader, loved baseball and a lover of the great outdoors; he embraced hunting, fishing, gardening, the simplicity of outdoor recreation as well as working in his garage on multiple projects at a time. He was a gentle jokester who brought warmth & laughter to those he encountered. A solid rock foundation to his family he held dearly to his heart and a true man of loyalty & strong willed. Preceeded in death by his parents, 3 sisters, 5 brothers, & daughter Ginny. Frank is survived by wife Nellie, daughter Maggie Martello, granddaughter McKenzie Kovick, grandsons Jason Bayne, Jeff Kovick, 3 great grandchildren & 22 nieces and nephews. Dear Nellie and Margie: I just read that Frank passed away recently. Nearly all of the old “Hauserites” are gone now. I remember so well those years and I’m very sorry for your loss.

Margie, sorry for your loss but it has hopefully given me a chance to find you. If you are Margie Ravnik who graduated from N. St. PAUL high school in 1968 this is your old buddy Jan Valentine. I’m in Galveston Tx now and just received an email about class reunion this August with a list of missing school mates and you are on it, so I’mreaching out. My contact is attached. Please respond one way or there other.
