Mr. Hamlin was my Dad’s (Bill McDonald) boss for several years at the phone company in Helena. He and Kay were so kind to our family when we moved to Helena from Butte. He never forgot a name or a face! I have very fond memories of Gregg and Kay. My sympathies to all of your family.

Our family, Lydia Faul Undem, Mona Faul Rose, Myrl Rose,
& Cindy Rose wish to express our condolences for loss of Greg. Along with our Mother Klara Faul, now deceased, we shared neighborhood experiences as we were and are neighbors across street on Hauser. We loved both Kay and Gregg, plus Lydia, as a nurse, looked in on them. We had family dinners together and shared both happy and sad times. And the dogs were friends, also! They are both missed but our memories will last. We pray for your strengths today at the interment. God bless all of you.

I owe so many things to Mr Hamlin. I was a punk kid when he gave me a chance at Mountain Bell. I cannot even imagine how my life might have turned out without his intervention. He helped me get to Missoula so I could continue my education. He recommended me for an assessment after I graduated. One year later, Mr Hamlin retired. All of the things Mr Hamlin did for me changed my life and the life of my family. This is one man I will always respect and admire. Thank you Mr Hamlin!

I met Gregg and Kay, when they had an ad in the paper for someone to care for Kay. Gregg hired me as a home health aide to come into their home. This was in 2004, when they lived in Helena, MT. I was blessed to be able to get to know both of them. About 2 weeks before Kay’s passing she accepted, Jesus as her Savior. I was able to lead her in the sinners prayer. It was a miracle, as at that time, she had Alzheimer disease. I was sitting in her room while she was resting in her bed watching the animal channel, which she loved. All of a sudden the T.V. station was on a Christian station, her mind was clear and she accepted the Lord. As, fast as her mind was opened to receive the Lord, her mind was closed, and just as fast went back to her Alzheimer state of mind. I sat there amazed how God loves each one of us, and goes to great lengths, to make sure we do not perish and go to hell. I let Gregg know of her experience, and he was most comforted of it on the day of her viewing. He spoke of it and he was put at ease and had peace, when we talked about it a short time at her viewing. I went back to live in North Dakota, and visited Gregg, once, when he was at the assisted living facility, when I came to visit my sister and brother-in-law, Dick and Alice Iver’s. We reminisced for a shot time and I left. He was pleased to show me his place and he seemed happy. I never saw him after that. He would come to mind from time to time, but, now it wouldn’t go away. So I got on line and there was his obituary. He was a man of principles, that I wish I would see more of. I thank God for giving me the privilege of being able to get to know Gregg and Kay, even if for a short span of time.
