Harry Lee VanBuren was born prematurely in San Diego, CA, on August 14, 1962. The first of many challenges he would face in his life. He was raised by his maternal grandmother around the U.S. Eventually settling in Wyoming where he remained most of his life. He battled depression & mental health issues throughout his life. He attended Casper Community College & earned a degree in Diesel Power Mechanics, a field he greatly enjoyed through the years. He was a proud member of the Pioneer Power Tractor Association in Deer Lodge, MT. In 2002 he met Heather Dawn Butler & on Valentine’s day 2003 asked her to be his bride. They moved to Helena that same year where he resided until his death. In 2004 they became husband & wife. A decade later in 2014 they brought their beloved daughter, Dawn Lee into this world, & she meant the world to him. Unfortunately his mental health deteriorated, & he chose to live separately from Heather & Dawn. On October 2, 2018, Harry suffered a massive stroke at his home. He passed peacefully at St. Peter’s Hospital on October 5, 2018. He was a gentle soul, willing to help when he could, & he will be missed. Anderson Stevenson Wilke will cremate his remains & the family plans a private memorial at a later date with internment at the Augusta Community Cemetery.
