Heather Juanita (Johns) Kelly, age 38, of Helena, Montana, passed away on Saturday, August 27, 2016 after a courageous battle with cancer, at her home surrounded by friends, family and her two favorite pastors. She was the beloved wife of Patrick Kelly of Helena.
Heather was born in Polson, Montana on January 13, 1978 to Joe and Carla (Norris) Johns. Besides her husband, Patrick, and her mother, Carla, Heather leaves her children, Leonard Pierce of Ronan, MT; Brandon Pierce of Ronan, MT; Anthony Cook of Roy, WA; and Ariana Cook of Helena, MT.
Heather was an incredible person who spent over 17 years working in the medical field. Her medical career consisted of working with the Volunteer Ambulance; Medical Instructor for the Polson Police Department; serving in the Montana Army National Guard as a Combat Medic; to being a Certified Nurse’s Assistant for the Fort Harrison Veteran’s Hospital. Her entire life was dedicated to helping, protecting and healing the people around her.
Heather’s hobbies included gardening, refining her title as a shoe shopping connoisseur, hunting, fishing and swimming in her favorite floatie spot on Flathead Lake. Christmas was her most favorite holiday of the year. She loved transforming the entire house both inside and out into a Christmas wonderland, making sure that every fixture and ornament was perfectly displayed. When she wasn’t busy with all of her passions, Heather enjoyed cuddling with her cat, Rhea, and simply spending time with her friends and family.

Pat, my heart breaks for your loss. I had no idea what you and Heather were enduring the last few years and I honestly wish I could have been available for support. So difficult to lose someone at such a young age, it’s truly unfair and tragic. I wish you peace and hope that you and your family can reflect on great memories of Heather as you move forward in this life.
