Herbert N. ‘Herb’ Johnson, age 91, of Helena, passed away November 2, 2021. Herb left us to go on to his next great adventure with his Life Partner and Soulmate of 39 years, Alene Gorecki, by his side.
Herb was the youngest of four children born May 22, 1930 to Chuck and Hazel (Vandecar) Johnson in Helena, MT. He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Kenny, Woody, and Elaine; plus numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Herb was a graduate of Helena High School where he excelled at Javelin. Herb loved the outdoors. He was a lifelong fisherman and hunter. He also loved golf and cheering on his L.A. Lakers and St. Louis Cardinals. When he met Alene, they enjoyed doing those activities together.

To all in Herb’s life – his beloved Alene, family and dear friends: I lift you all up in prayer as you mourn Herb’s passing. That being said, I am smiling as I write this because I am recalling his thunderous laugh, beautiful smile, graceful way of entering a room (now I know why – his years of javelin throwing), his love for Alene and the twinkle in his eye as he talked of their next adventure. RIP dear Herb. Hugs to you Alene.
