Hicks, Cecelia “Marie”

Marie Shepherd Hicks, 82, passed away Sunday, August 19, 2012 in Livingston, Montana at Livingston Rehab Center. She would have been 83 years old in September.

Marie was born September 26, 1929 in Helena to John and Babe Rogan. She graduated from Helena High School in 1947 and was employed at Nash Finch Food Distributors later sold to Associated Foods where she met Jim Shepherd. They were married in 1948. Four daughters were born to the marriage. They divorced and she married Gene Hicks.

She is survived by daughters Sharon Farris of Edson, Kansas, Mary Ann Aafeldt and Rose marie Robertson of Great Falls and one grandson. Other survivors include a brother, Jack (Lois) Rogan, East Helena and three sisters, Pat Wold, Helena, Issie (Joe) Pistelak, East Helena and Cookie (Fleetwood) Richards, Austin, Texas and numerous nieces, nephews and their families.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Bill and his wife Nell, Winterhaven, Florida, a daughter, Colleen and husbands, Jim and Gene.

A Funeral Liturgy will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, August 24^th at Anderson Stevenson Wilke Funeral Home, 3750 N. Montana Avenue.  A reception will be held in the social center of the funeral home immediately following the service. Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery.
