I had the honor and joy of teaching Holter and his twin brother Hunter in kindergarten. I also had the wonderful bonus of knowing big brother Kade, who was always so kind and caring towards his brothers. I have many special memories of Holter and will never forget his incredible dancing and his love of electronics! There was rarely a day that would go by in kindergarten without sweet Holter asking me to log on to “Just Dance Kids” so that the class, (Holter front and center) could dance to “What Does the Fox Say?” His moves were unrivaled as the students would marvel at his perfect timing and rhythm. Holter had a quiet, caring, inquisitive, nature that made our classroom complete. I love you Holter. My love prayers go out to the Smith family.
Love,Ms. Mihelish

I’ve known Holter since the second grade, ever since we met I knew we were going to be friends. Holter was smart, nice, and had the absolute best sense of humor. It seems as if it were yesterday that we were playing just dance in the school gym. I hope Holter rest in peace, he was an amazing friend and an even better dancer.

To the family and loved ones. My sincere condolences for the pain you are experiencing. Life in this world can be hard and can bring tears and pain. Please find comfort in knowing that God will wipe out every tear from our eyes and death will be no more. ( Isaiah 25:8) Jesus gave us hope when he taught us to pray for God’s Kingdom to come. His Kingdom will bring about so many wonderful blessings and it will put an end to all the pain that causes us to suffer including death. >Faith >Hope >Love >Prayer

Dear Bob, Jo, Kade and Hunter,
I am holding you in my heart and sending love during this painful, confusing, heartbreaking time. It’s been nine years since I had the honor of meeting you. I remember your tight knit, loving family. How humor and being together gave you strength. Bob and Jo, I remember how proud you are of your sons and how important their education and growth are to you both. No matter what you were dealing with you put your sons first and made time to make sure you’re there for them. I remember how proud you both looked watching Hunter and Holter’s Holiday show at Ray Bjork. Above all I remember your resilience and your openness. I am so sorry we have to say goodbye to Holter too soon. Love and peace to each of you. Jaymie Hazel

We are deeply saddened to hear of Holtler’s passing. Holter was a very special young man. We knew Holter through the youth bowling programs. Although bowling turned out not to be what Holter wanted to do, he was still supportive of his brothers Hunter and Kade. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. Holter will be missed by all those who knew him. Danielle Bolan and the SGL staff.

Bob, Jo, Kade & Hunter,
I honestly remember the day I met Holter and Hunter in the clinic. The Doctor Seuss room was a fitting atmosphere for sweet twin boys that stole my heart from the first time we met. It is always such an honor to join a family along their journey of raising a child and with the Smith family it was a double blessing at every check up. Our visits were full of jokes and smiles, teasing and laughs – truly a gift when this family would come into the clinic and make so many of us smile. It was a joy to watch these boys grow from infants to young men. I am so sorry for the loss your family is experiencing. I cannot even imagine the depth of your pain and the void in your heart. Know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. May there be a small bit of comfort in knowing how much Holter was loved and will be missed.
Love,
Dr. Michelle
