Eddie, what a great guy. I grew up with Eddie at the 66 and Edith down the street, along with his girls that kept all us guys in the neighborhood. A great family. Eddie was a patriot, veteran sailor, and a great example for us all. Proud to have known him.
Bobbie Miller Crossguns says
What a wonderful man! My dad, sister and I all worked at the Phillips 66 for Ed. He was also our school bus driver. We loved him! He will be missed by so many!
Raymond Stoddard says
Bonnie Huddleston Rutherford noted a letter on the USS Atlanta website from Ed to my mother telling her of his dear friend Orville Briggs and his loss of life in November, 1942 in a naval battle at Guadalcanal. From this our family twice visited Ed and he brought closure to a sixty year mystery concerning Orville’s death. The kind comments above are a testament to the greatness of Ed. He is, indeed, one of the “Greatest Generation!” What a blessing he was to others!

I knew Ed starting as a small boy with a flat tire on my bicycle. Growing up across the street from Ed’s 66 I found Ed to be a very gracious and friendly man. I did not know of his military service until now. I do know Ed met everyone with a warm smile and a willingness to help. A true gentleman.
Bruce Hanson says
I just found Ed’s obituary and even though I’m nearly a year late, I wanted to say how terriffic a guy Ed was. Ed was my first boss. I worked at Ed’s 66 in Greybull in my early high school days 67-68. Ed was a great boss and in all aspects, always gave more then he took. My dad ran the Hanson Honey Company in Greybull and dad did all his business with Ed. Dad loved to talk with Ed about just anything. See you on the other side boss.
