Ina Claire Williams Sypert, age 91, went peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on July 18, 2013 in Helena, Montana after a brief illness. She had been under loving hospice care at the home of her oldest daughter and son-in-law.
Ina was born in Waco, Texas on December 26, 1921. After spending some of her earlier schooling at San Marcos Baptist Academy, she graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in Dallas, Texas. Ina attended one year at Baylor University before leaving school to help her family.
On March 20, 1945, Ina and Rev. C. Wayne Sypert were married at Lakeside Baptist Church in Dallas, with Ina’s father Rev. Forrest B. Williams presiding. Ina was a faithful and loving helpmate to her husband as the Lord directed them in the ministry from Orange to San Antonio to Follett, Texas. While in Follett, Rev. Sypert and his family felt God’s call to develop God’s work in Casper, Wyoming. From there the family moved to Montana, living in Miles City, Billings, Pryor and Busby before settling in Hardin, Montana.
Whether Ina was working at the local Woolworths, Federal Reserve Bank, J.C. Penny’s, Casper Hospital, Busby General Store, and finally retiring from Morrisette State Farm Insurance Agency in Hardin after 27 years, Ina was always smiling, giving encouragement and sharing the message of God’s Saving Grace.
Even after reaching the young age of 80, Ina continued to volunteer with such organizations as Good Samaritan Ministry and Christian Women’s Job Corps in Brownwood, Texas, and serving as a Sunday School teacher at Coggin Avenue Baptist Church.
The following Bible verse, from Philippians 4:8, describes the life that Ina lived for her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ:
“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.”
The family would like to thank the many Christians around the world who have prayed for Ina and her healing. She is now fully healed in God’s Grace. Ina knew, believed and accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior, and she knew that she will be united in Heaven with all true believers.
Ina was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. C. Wayne Sypert and his parents, Clarence W. and Bertha Ownby Sypert; Ina’s parents, Rev. Forrest B. Williams and Beatrice Byler Williams; a grandson Andre Sypert; three brothers Allen, Billy and his wife Betty, and Lt. Forrest B. Williams Jr.; and sister-in-law Georgia Williams.
Ina is survived by four children: Diane and husband Warren “Duff” Duffield of Helena, MT; Kathy and husband Dan Schara of Middleton, Idaho; Wayne and wife Sophie of Oak Harbor, WA, and Juanita Sypert of Brownwood, TX. Ina is also survived by one brother, Dr. Marion Jack Williams of Houston, TX, and a sister Alice Williams of Austin, TX. Her extended surviving family includes five grandchildren: Martha (Marty) Hartnett and husband John; Kelsie Schara, Justin Schara, Mathew Sypert, and Wayne Sypert III, and four great-grandchildren: Austin Wayne Sypert, and Hallie, Katelyn, and Kylie Hartnett. Also surviving Ina are: special cousin Geneva Seago of Brownwood, TX; Joe and Jill Barry and family of Kent, WA; the members of her beloved Sunday School Friendship Class at Coggin Avenue Baptist Church, and neighbors and friends of the Brownwood community.
A private family memorial will be held at a later date. Interment will be at the Hardin Cemetery in Hardin, Montana. The family suggests memorials to Yellowstone Baptist College, 1515 S. Shiloh Road, Billings, MT 59106; Christian Women’s Job Corps, Box 1901, Brownwood, TX 76804, your local hospice or another organization of your choice. May I offer my sincere condolences to you on the death of Ina. May your hearts find comfort in God’s Word where it states: “He will swallow up death forever, and the Lord will wipe the tears from all faces.” (Isaiah 25:8) May your loved one awaken to a world where there will be peace (John 5:28,29; Psalm 37:11), no sickness (Isaiah 33:24), and no more troubles (Revelation 21:4) throughout eternity (Psalm 37:29). May your hearts find comfort and hope in God’s Word, family, friends and good memories at this time. My deepest sympathy to you.
