Jacqueline was part of an exciting and beautiful vision for our family that never came fully to fruition. After learning that we were expecting twins, the excitement built with each passing moment of preparation. Jacqueline’s father remodeled our basement to make room for our growing family and we talked and dreamed about our twin girls running through the house, filling it with joy. Jacqueline’s big sister, Olivia, happily gave up her room for the two sisters she excitedly awaited and drew pictures for their nursery, talked, and sang to them in my belly. We planned how we would carry on family traditions hiking and camping in Glacier, despite the busy life twins would bring.
While we only got eight precious hours with Jacqueline before we had to say goodbye, we were blessed with her sister Caroline. While we will still carry out the dreams we had for the girls with Caroline, there will always be a deep void in our hearts, knowing that Jacqueline should be there sharing in the fun. We will never forget our sweet angel Jacqueline and she will still be a part of the vision we had for the twins because we will dream what she would be doing or saying along with her sisters. She will forever remain in our hearts, and her spirit will carry on through her constant reminders from her identical sister Caroline as she watches from above.
Jacqueline is survived by her loving parents, Brett and Amanda Eby; sisters Olivia and Caroline; paternal grandparents Ray and Diane Eby; maternal grandfather Gene Roccabruna; aunt and uncle Danielle and Mike Shelton; uncle Mark Roccabruna; aunt and uncle Julie and Rick Estes; aunt and uncle Gina and John Ed Anderson; aunt and uncle Teresa and Joe Browne; aunt and uncle Pamela Roccabruna and Jason Beazer; and aunt Nancy Overstreet.
She is preceded in death by her maternal grandmother Betsy Roccabruna and uncle Jason Schilling. She is named after her late great grandmother Garnet Dietrich.
Jacqueline’s family would like to thank Dr. Huntley, Dr. Fausett, Dr. Strizich, Dr. Danielson, Dr. Murphy and all the nurses of the Women and Children’s Unit at St. Peter’s hospital for everything they did to keep the twins healthy during pregnancy, delivering the twins, and caring for the family in the difficult moments and days after delivery.
The Eby family has deep gratitude for the Ramsey Keller Foundation and Anderson Stevenson Wilke Funeral Home for covering the cost of Jacqueline’s memorial service.
Memorials in Jacqueline’s name are suggested to The Ramsey Keller Memorial Fund 4456 Laredo Place.Billings.MT.59106.
God’s Heavenly Garden – Author Unknown – A Funeral Reading for a Baby
A single red rose in the most beautiful of gardens, even those tended by the most skillful of botanists,
there is an occasional rose that buds, but never opens. In all respects the rose is like all the others,
but something keeps it from blooming. It fades away – or disappears – without having reached maturity.
What happens in nature’s garden happens once in a while also in the garden of God’s human family.
A baby is born, beautiful, precious, but fails to come to its rightful unfolding. This child, like the bud that never fully opens,
is gathered back into God’s heavenly garden of souls – where all imperfections are made perfect;
all injustices made right; all mysteries are explained; and all sorrows turned to happiness.
Handprints on my Heart – Deborah J Birdoes
Although you are not here with me,
Your handprint is on my heart.
You were a precious gift to me.
I loved you from the start.
You left this earth too early,
And landed on heaven’s shore.
I snuggle in the memory of you.
Oh how I love you even more.
You are never far away from us
For your memory’s a steady stream.
I will never say goodbye to you,
So I am wishing you sweet dreams.
Someday we’ll be together again
But until that one fine day,
You are the handprint on my heart
Where forever you shall stay.

I am saddened to read about the loss of Jacqueline. Words cannot express the heartfelt sympathy I have for each and every one of you. I have known Diane and Ray for many years, and although I don’t see them often, they are always proud to share a special story about their lives as Grandparent’s. May the precious time you were given with Jacqueline, provide you with a lifetime of cherished memories. Although her life was short here on earth, she will forever live in the hearts of all those who loved her. What a beautiful tribute to a darling little angel. Thank you for sharing the photos. They are absolutely touching and priceless! My family and I will continue to keep you in our thoughts and prayers. Hugs to you all!
