Of all the people in the world, God chose Jim to be my best friend and love for 49 years. He left to be with our heavenly father on August 4, 2014 with family gathered around celebrating with him his crossing over to spend eternity in the presence of the Son. He is now with all the loved ones that have gone before him. Although we are very sad, with an emptiness to see him go, we are certain he will struggle no more with diabetes and its bodily damage.
Jim was born to Charles and Joyce Stout on February 19, 1945. Although he was born in Oregon, he spent his entire life in the beautiful Boulder Valley that he loved. Jim had several professions throughout his life, but loved operating his yellow iron best of all. He was an outdoorsman before anything and an extremely proficient elk hunter until he was physically unable. He loved his German shepherds and his horses and wanted them near always. He loved to race Model T Fords and to restore classic cars.
Jim is survived by his wife, Wanda, children Cam and Bob Warfle and Candice Stout, his cherished granddaughters Natalee, Callie, and Emma. He is also survived by his sister Susan Olson, brother, Charles “Bert” Stout (Peggy), brothers -in-law Larry Petersen (Marlene) and Richard Wixom (Pat), nieces, nephews, and cousins. He also leaves behind an entourage of friends too many to list.
A celebration of Jim’s life will be held at the Catholic Center in Boulder, Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at 11:00 AM. Jim wanted a celebration of stories and laughter with food.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Jim was a good man with a heart of gold. May you find comfort in knowing he is now at peace and with those who preceded him in eternal rest.

I met Jim and later, his parents, about thirty years ago when I was in the photo business. He always had a smile and seemed to be a jolly person. Many years later I helped Jim with truck licensing at the MDOT. Same Jim with his smile and great sense of humor. My sincere condolences to Jim’s family. May God be with you.

Wanda, Cam, and Candie,
I’m so sorry for your loss. As you know, Jim was like a second father to me. I will never forget all the times I spent at your house growing up and going to tournaments, etc. with you all. Please know that his memory will forever live on and not a day will go by that he is not in my thoughts.
God bless you all!

Was sadden with your loss for Jim. I heard about his passing in a bad way. My brother Ralph Sievers was on is way to attend his service because they were close friends and had a motorcycle accident by Avon. He is in Whitefish rehab center! I just thought you should know. I know from my loss of my mother and brothers, sister that time will help you heal one day at a time, with the help of friends and family that will help you through this time of grief. We will all miss him very much.
