My heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with the Jacobson family at this difficult time. Many years ago, I met Jay at Division Workers Comp on Front street. He was a very kind person, and always remembered your name and had a smile for you. Occasionally we would run into each other over the years and he would still remember. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. Jay is in His hands and with his wife now.

Wish to send our sympathy to his family. He was a very quiet and gentle man. I will miss him. Had the pleasure of helping with his hearing for many years. So sad to see him go.
Judi Allen says
Fond remembrances of a gentle and gracious man, thoughtful and sincere and who took the time to show a flatlander little girl how to fish in the mountains with a string and a hook. You will be missed Uncle Jake.
Judy Murfitt says
I met James through my mother, Vera Bergum Stamy, who grew up with him in Wolf Creek. In the not so distant past we would run into James every now and then in Safeway. Even though my mother’s memory was failing with Alzheimer’s, she remembered James. He always came up and spoke to her. It was truly a highlight of her day when this would occur. He was a very kind and gentle soul. I’m sorry for your loss. No matter how old or even sick they are, we miss them terribly. My mother is still living, but the end is near. They had good lives, those growing up back then. And in Wolf Creek no less. What a wonderful place!
