Betty & family, I’m so sorry for your loss. Jim made the world a much better place. I have a lot of respect for him and his Army service to the USA in the Korean War. As a police officer, Jim and the rest of the HPD helped many grade school kids like myself learn to play baseball in the 1960s. We had a lot of fun. In the 1980s I worked with Jim at the Federal Building. It was a stressful job but Jim could make it better by joking around. It was the best part of the day to see his smiling face & talk to him. He could always make you laugh no matter how bad the day was going. I still laugh at some of the things he said & did. Jim was a wonderful guy, he will be missed.

Betty, Kathy, and Jimbo, my condolences on your loss. Mr. Crawford was always there when I grew up in the 6th ward. Helping us with our motorcycles so we could go camping. It was fun growing up in the neighborhood.
