I love you and miss you Grandpa. I have many great memories. Such as all the times we went camping at the cabin. Oh, I can hear you snoring now. Ha ha! I will never forget the peanut butter sandwich you made me at the cabin when I was young. I am sorry to say the chipmunks ate most of it. I was not used to butter also being on the sandwich. Yes, I know that is how you ate yours.
Every weekend we would go to your’s and grandma’s house. I want to thank you for mowing the park’s grass so Jimmy and I could go play. I know that was not your responsibility, but you did it for us.
I love you!

OK — I forgot I was going to add this:
Grandpa and I were discussing our birthday’s when I was young. I always remembered his, but he had a hard time remembering mine (which was three days earlier). I told him to just turn the number of his birthday upside down and he would never forget mine. He thought I was clever for thinking of that for my young age at the time.

I will always remember the good times we had. I enjoyed our fishing trips that we took and all the cribbage and pinochle games we played. You always kept the candy jar full, which helped me gather all these wonderful cavities that I have. You were always there for us Grandpa and you will be missed. Love you!

James was a great man. I suppose I was a little bit of a renegade when I met him and his wife at the time but I don’t think that mattered to him in the least. He took me in as a friend without question. He was my sister in law, Lora Hanson’s grandfather. He always had a great way of making people around him very happy. God bless him and all of his loved ones. May God be with all of youduring your mourning of his passing. Bless his heart and all of your hearts.
