James “Jim” Sidney Hauso
James “Jim” Sidney Hauso, age 61, of Helena, passed away on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at home with family by his side after a courageous battle with the disease Hemochromatosis.
Jim was born July 2, 1957, in Jordan, MT to Sidney and Ruth (Ofstedal) Hauso, joining his three older sisters, Linda, Judy and Susan. Jim grew up on the family ranch at Brusett, MT where he attended grade school through high school in Jordan. An unfortunate, life threating car accident prevented Jim from graduating high school. After his recovery, he continued to help out on the family ranch and hauling whatever needed to be hauled with his dad’s stock truck for the people of Garfield County. This later started his truck driving career working for individuals around the area.
Jim met and married Denise Bond in 1982 and gained a daughter Mari. To this union four children were born Jami, Hannah, David and Sidney “Sid”. Jim and Denise later divorced.
After moving to Miles City, Jim worked for Fred Wacker, Charles Moore Trucking and Floyd Gabel over the years. He did live in Helena for a short time where he met Teresa Grewatz (Tess) and found love again.
Jim was the happiest being around his children and grandchildren. He treasured every minute he could be around family and friends. He was a man of many talents. Jim was famous for making caramels as a child when his big sisters were coming home to visit, his many flavors of cheesecakes, cooking the perfect steak and his special potatoes were always a request.
Jim was loved by all who knew him for his wittiness, helping hand and strong work ethics. He will be greatly missed.
Jim is survived by his significant other, Tess Grewatz of 16 years; children: Mair Belcher, Jami (Travis) Hail, Hannah Reynolds and Sid Hauso; step daughter Kimberly F., sisters Linda Weisgerber, Judy Wilbur and Susan (Tom) Ochs; ten grandchildren: Alycia, Ethan, Eddie, Marie, McKynzie, McKinlee, Alex, Dawsyn, Aiden and Klohie; numerous nieces and nephews, and his best friends who were more like brothers, Cactus Moore and Mike Barbula.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents and an infant son David.

Thinking of you and sending prayers of comfort and thankfulness for God giving such a special person to you for 61 years. I keep trying to be thankful to our Lord for all he gives vs questioning why. Your heart tears a bit less and opens your mind to all the good times and specialness he brought to you. Take care of yourselves and know that he continues to be by your side.
