In Memory Of

Jason William Lineaweaver

July 27, 1980 – March 14, 2011

Jason W. Lineaweaver, an Iraqi War Veteran, was called home to be with our Lord and Savior on March 14th, 2011 due to cardiac arrest in his sleep. He was born July, 27th 1980 in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, but grew up in many places when his dad was in the Army.

In 2002, Jason moved to Helena to be with his family and met his wife here. They were married in September of 2006 and have 2 children. He was a member of Tri-Lakes Volunteer Fire Dept., until he joined the Army in 2008, and he and his family moved to Ft. Hood, Texas. Upon receiving an honorable discharge from the military after returning from Iraq, they moved back to Helena in 2009 and Jason began college to become an Aviation Mechanic.

Jason was an avid hunter, hiker, and outdoorsman. He loved nature and the beautiful Montana sky. His passion was airplanes. All of them, from remote control planes to 747s and helicopters too. He was a member of Lifepoint Baptist Church in East Helena. Though he had many struggles, he loved The Lord. He didn’t just love Him, he served Him too and tried to do his best. He was preceded in death by his uncle Jeff Bucholds, who was in the Air Force.

Jason is survived by his wife Jodie (27); his two sons, Casey (7) and Cayden (1) of Helena; his parents, Kim and Dave; brothers, Michael and Ryan of Bend, Oregon; his sister Amber Norwood and her family of Texas. He is also by his aunt and uncle, Jaime and Dave Moe of Helena; cousins, Tom of Seattle, and Joe of Bozeman; and numerous other aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and grandparents in California, Idaho, Texas, and Missouri.

Jason had many friends and family who loved him very much and he will be missed greatly. Donations for the family and expenses are greatly appreciated. There is an account at Valley bank opened for them.

Viewing will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Friday, March 18, 2011 at Retz Funeral Home Chapel with family receiving friends from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. A Memorial Service is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 19, 2011 at Lifepoint Baptist Church in East Helena with coffee following the service. Military Honors is set for 12:00 p.m. Monday, March 21, 2011 at the Montana State Veterans Cemetery, Ft. Harrison. Jason, You wern’t just my cousin but, one of my best friends growing up. You were such a big part of my life and I just can’t believe your gone. I can still remember the day our dads bought us oue motorcycles and how excited you were especially when you learned how to swich gears before I did, and you made sure to always remind me that you were faster then me. Or when you taught me how to roller blade and took me to the biggest hill you could find and pushed me down it while telling me that I was either going to learn how to do it or crash trying, needless to say I crashed and you told me while helping me up and laughing so hard you almost fell over that I roller bladed like a duck and for the next couple of months you would make duck noises everytime I would walk by. I can still remember how excited I was when I found out you were moving back to Cali, even though it had been so long that we had seen eachother we were able to pick up where we left off.

As Jason’s parents we can not even begin to say how much we will miss Jason. The pain is unbearable, but God gives us comfort knowing he is in heaven now. Jason loved the Lord. He may have had his struggles, but he always looked to God for help. He loved his family dearly and especially his wife Jodie, sons Casey and Cayden. Keep them in your prayers as well. His death was unintentional and unexpected, but Jason is free now and with the Lord. The Bible says, “to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.” Great Comfort!! Jason will be remembered by our family for his great laugh, smile, loving hugs, jokes, and sensitivity. Everything about him will be missed. We love you so so much Jason!

    All our love,
    Dad, Mom, Ryan, and Michael

Jason was not only my big brother, he was my best friend when we were growing up & even when we got older. Jason & I got in to a lot of trouble growing up, but we had fun, laughed, learned, & encouraged one another through out the years. We will greatly miss him so much, he will always be in our hearts & we will see him again some day. Our thoughts & prayers are with Jodie, Casey & Cayden, my parents & younger brothers Ryan & Michael. This is extremely hard for all of us, but God has his plan for each of us & He called Jason Home to be with Him. Jason we love you so much & we were all always proud of you for all that you have done. Love you so much bro.
    Love, Amber, Ryan & Anna
