Jean B. Lee, 72, went to be with the Lord on May 29, 2012. She went peacefully at her home in Helena, Montana. Jean Bernice Lee was born in Jordon, Montana on April 11, 1940 to Fredrick and Lila Lahn.
They later moved to Absorkee, Montana, where she graduated and was Homecoming Queen. Jean lived in many Montana towns throughout her life, but made Helena her home and raised her three children. She enjoyed the outdoors as well as gardening and walking along the rivers and creeks of this state with her grandchildren. She was an excellent horse woman and kept many horses throughout her life. Her life was full of puppies and kittens. Her home was filled with the aroma of cinnamon rolls and other baked goods. She had a superior education, including speed writing and reading. She worked as a legal assistant at various firms. She especially enjoyed evenings around the table laughing and talking with her family, especially her comic son Bryan. She was an amazing woman and every bit a lady. She will be sorely missed but her memory will live forever in our hearts.
Jean is preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Lila Lahn; brothers, Walter, Albert and Kenneth Lahn.
She is survived by her grandson, Cache O’Bryan Campbell; son, Bryan of Helena; Daughters, Christy of South Dakota and Donna of Oregon City, Oregon. Also surviving Jean, 15 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; brother, Robert of Billings, and numerous nieces and nephews and countless friends.
A celebration of Jean’s life will be scheduled at a later date. To offer a condolence or share a memory of Jean, please visit: www.retzfuneralhome.com.

To Jeans Family – My hope is that you find comfort in knowing that friends care. Jean and I grew up as neighbors/friends in Absarokee. Have many good memories – as a kid she had a pony “Pansy” and sounds like she continued her love of animals. With sympathy, Marlene
