The Cooney’s were family friends and I remember Jean as part of my first memories. We renewed our friendship a few years ago when our daughter helped out one summer at Jean’s B&B and then when Susan and I stayed there.

    She will be missed.

Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone, but we offer a special prayer and hug for Carol, because parents are just not supposed to lose their kids.

I am sorry for your loss. Cory, when I think of your mom, I think of the pictures she would show us of your precious Ben and how much she loved those boys. I worked with her at the hospital in WSS. We would laugh so hard at some of the stories she would tell us of you growing up and her parenting moments. I can’t imagine what your are going through. God Bless!

I worked with Jean at WSS, she was always there for a person. She could tell a story that would make you laugh so hard tears would come to your eyes. Jean was a good friend and I learned a lot from her. She will be missed.

Jean joined a few of us occasionally for Mah Jong and when the group was 4+ we’d partner up – partnering with Jean was always an experience because we often became irreverent and laughed and laughed and laughed mostly at our mistakes. She told me once that when she was driving a group of RMDC seniors on a small bus she took them around and around the roundabout behind Taco Johns so everyone could have a long laugh at ride and the snail sculptures in their midst. Her mirth and her spirit were contagious. Privileged to know her, even though our time was short.

I was so sorry to read of Jean’s passing. She was a classmate and a friend. I last saw her and visited with her at a class reunion in 2010. Her beautiful, radiant smile will be missed along with her fun, fun personality.

I sent a memory card to Cory Eisenberg’s home address. In it I mention living in the home where Jean spent some growing up years. The funeral home should give you images of 2 photos I snapped this afternoon of “Jean” neatly inscribed in the concrete apron around the east side entrance that leads to the driveway.

I regret that singing at a service held at the same time as Jean’s memorial service prevents me from coming tomorrow.
