Jeann E. (Wojcik) Kalchbrenner, 73, of Helena, passed away February 4, 2011 due to heart failure.
She was born in Chicago, IL on April 18, 1937, the first of three children, to Ann and Stanley Wojcik.
Jeann married Walter Kalchbrenner on April 4, 1959 in Chicago. They divorced in 1972.
After residing and working many years in the Chicago area, Jeann lived for a time in Brownsville, TX, Helena, and Mesa, AZ before returning to Helena to be near her family. Jeann had a full and interesting life and made many life-long friends along the way.
Jeann is survived by her sister, Arlene Grabacki of Bartlett, IL; niece, Lisa (Fred) Schneider of Wayne, IL, and their daughter, Emily; nephews, Greg (Susan) Grabacki of Carpentersville, IL, and their children, Erol and Sara; Andrew (Lynn) Grabacki of Bartlett, IL, and their children, Samantha, Abigail and Drew; Steven (Beth) Wojcik of Spokane, WA, and their children, Allison and Madeline; Mark (Abbie) Wojcik of West Linn, OR, and their children, Sophie and Audrey; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Michele and Robert Kalaveras of Helena; cousin, Mike (Sherri) Wojcik of Cohasset, MN, and special friend, Ed Marszalek of Chicago.
Jeann was preceded in death by her parents, Ann and Stanley, her brother, Mel Wojcik and brother-in-law, Casimir Grabacki.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial Mass will be held at noon on Thursday,
March 17, 2011, at Sts. Cyril & Methodius Church, 120 W. Riggs, East Helena, MT. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sts. Cyril & Methodist Church or the Helena Senior Center, 200 N. Cruse Ave, Helena. Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.aswfuneralhome.com.
