To the Hansons:
I’m so very sorry for your loss. I played softball with Jeannye many years ago – she the catcher, me the pitcher! Oh what fun we had. You could not help but smile when you saw her! I’ll see you on the flip side my ‘ol friend!
Marty Veltkamp says
Was looking for someone else when I found Jeannye’s obituary. She took care of my sister Judy for over a decade, I was caring for my sick husband and couldn’t be there, Jeannye was a true blessing!

What a broad smile and great laugh. I worked with Jeannye at the health club years ago and became fast friends. She never knew a stranger and was always willing to share a story. You will be missed my friend!

I met her when she would come by her dad’s office many moons ago. She taught my son and daughter swimming in the East Helena pool. We met off and on ever since then. She was a joy to visit with. Hugs and prayers for the family.

Duane Harris says
Always a great smile, a hug and an update on Pete and Maria’s kids. I’ll miss seeing her on my journeys around town. She was one nice person.
Lowell Bartels says
Jeannye was a wonderful person always looking out for and concerned about others. When she wea helping seniors in homes she would call me and tell me they needed Protestant services at the homes. And then she would actually set them up and tell me when to be there. She was a devout Catholic but she wanted other people to have a Bible study of their faith. She would always give me a delightful time about our music and faith. She so enjoyed my wife’s lemon cream pies from Mamma Knows and bought them for family gatherings. She will be missed. You are all in our prayers. God’s blessings and His Grace to you
Gary Mihelish says
Jeannye Hanson gave our son Kyle private swimming lessons many years ago when we were involved with the Hanson Family and the Helena Lions Swim Team. She gave up on him and said, “He’s a sinker.” Told us to put him in the water with the swim tean and he will eventually figure it out. He did, and placed in the State Meet several times. Jeannye’s sense of humor was welcome to the Mihelish Family. Her smile will be missed.
STEPHANIE MUNK says

A friend since childhood. I will always remember your
witty spirit, especially at the pool. You gave me advise on life-saving and I listened.
You always told it exactly as it was, and there was no sugarcoatng the subjects. My sympathies to Michael and family’s.

Jack King says
I coached the Helena Lions Swim Team as a freshman at Carroll in the late sixties. Jeannye and her siblings were all on the team and outstanding swimmers. It was a joy to get to know the whole family and though it’s been decades since I ran into her, I was always impressed by what a beautiful person she’d grown up to be. My deepest condolences to the Hanson family who were so good to me.
Laureen Dordal says
Godspeed
Bruce Mihelish says
I haven’t seen her for way too long, so this comes as a shocker. I always looked forward to crossing paths. She still was a kid in my mind. Jeannye was legendary at passing out smiles and happy faces to anyone she encountered. We need more people like her that have that great attitude and good grace. She will be missed is an understatement.
