Jeff was born June 26, 1951 in Akron, Ohio to Wayne and Elaine Williams and passed away on July 14, 2018 in Helena, MT.
He graduated with honors from Fork Union Military Academy, Fork Union, Virginia. Jeff later earned a Liberal Arts Degree from Paul Smiths College in Saranac Lake, New York. He was self-employed as a painting contractor for many years. He then became a district manager for Columbia Paint Company for several years; he eventually opened his Williams and Father Fuller-O’Brien dealership in Helena with his dad. Jeff later became a supervisor with the state liquor warehouse overseeing their stores in central Montana. Following the privatization of liquor stores he was hired by the MT Department of Natural Resources and Conservation, retiring as the bureau chief of the procurement and contract bureau in 2011.
Jeff was married to his soulmate Debera for 28 years. They were inseparable during their life together; boating, fishing, and camping at Canyon Ferry and Hauser Lake with friends and family. They enjoyed golfing, playing the machines at Smith’s, hosting family cook outs on their deck and snow birding in Yuma, AZ. Jeff really enjoyed life and was happiest when making people laugh. He adored and was proud of his extended family, especially 2 year- old Jacey who brought a lot of joy to “Papa” Jeff.
Jeff is survived by loving wife Deb, mother Elaine Williams, brother Mark (Annette) Williams, sons Adam (Stephanie) Williams, Jonathon Williams, stepson CSM John (Amber) Christiansen, stepdaughters Nicole (Tyson) Pallister and Jamie (Doug) Osborn, grandchildren Jacey Christiansen, Pjaden, Tiana, and Talon Pallister; J T, Zane, and Brady Gehring; Aron and Daniel Osborne; niece Erin (Heath) LaFromboise, nephew Paul Williams and great niece and nephew Maysa and Leighton LaFromboise.
Jeff was preceded in death by his father and maternal and paternal grandparents. Please join Jeff’s family for a celebration of his life that will be held at Jeff and Deb’s home @ 2pm on July 21, 2018.
