On the evening of February 11, 2024, Jessica passed away in a fatal accident. She was born September 16, 1996 in Renton, Washington to Sarah Forgey and Daniel Oliva.
She started her life living in Enumclaw, Washington with her mom and grandma. Later moving to Montana in 2000 and growing up in Helena. Jessica started out being a little princess. She loved dancing and wearing tiaras, which began her love for cheerleading.
As a little girl, she and her sister cousin played soccer together coached by their moms. Instead of kicking the ball, you would see her laying on the soccer field picking pretty flowers – Dandy lions. Her momma would proceed to pick her up and take her to the sidelines.
Jessica started Warren Elementary School as a 1st grader. As you can imagine, she was the class social butterfly and all the teachers loved her. In the 4th grade she became bougie and was having clothing competitions with her friend Bailey.
She attended Helena High School where she met the love of her life Lane St. Clair, they graduated together in 2014. During high school some of her friend’s nick named her “Snookie” because of her big bumped hair and furry Ugg boots. Most of all she enjoyed hanging out with friends and going to bon fires.
Jessica and Lane were married on August 7, 2021, at the Summer Star Ranch in York, Montana surrounded by their family and lifelong friends. Joining the St. Clair family brought so much joy to her life. She loved the family dynamics. She especially loved her mother-in-law because they were so much alike. They loved shopping, gambling and complaining about each other.
Jessica loved her boys: Scout, Nitro, and Creed. These 3 dogs kept her busy by leaving messes for her to come home to. They loved to chew holes in the blankets, going for rides and walks, and they loved going to grandma’s house. The boys even wore holiday sweaters and bow ties.
Jessica enjoyed working at MacKenzie River where she met lots of customers and loved seeing them weekly, never forgetting their names or orders. Her favorite part of the job was being able to be a Chatty Cathy with her customers and seeing her church ladies, as she called them.
She found a love for reading and even joined a book club with Sarah (mom). She would stay up way too late just to finish a chapter or the whole book, and loved sleeping in. One of her happiest moments was buying her RZR. She loved going on SxS rides and meeting new people on weekends: Rain, Snow or Shine.
She is survived by her husband, Lane St. Clair; mother, Sarah Forgey, Jason Tavenner, and her Biological Father Daniel Oliva. Brother(s) and Sister: Jordan Morley, Teagen and Dillon Oliva, and Jacob Tavenner. Father and Mother In-Law: Larry and Valerie St. Clair, Sister In-Law Jennifer St. Clair (Jason Ferguson), Brother In-Law Garrett St. Clair. Nephew and Niece: Carter and Kadence Ferguson. Uncle and Aunt: Bart and Theresa Loney and cousins: Crystal, Cheyanne, Wyatt, Ross, and Mason. And many more family members.
She is preceded in Death by: Grandma Karen Forgey and Don Forgey, Grandpa and Grandma Robert L. and Betty St. Clair, Cousins Courtney and Emma Loney. And dear friend Paige Dombrovski.

I never knew Jessica or Lane personally, only waited on them when they came in for their Friday morning breakfast. Even with the hundreds of faces I would see in a day, I always looked forward to seeing them. I’m saddened to hear of this. My condolences to her family and friends

She was one of my favorite servers and she had a great personality. She loved her job and her coworkers. I’m so thankful to have met her this year and I will forever remember the nights we spent working together.

Jess,
One of the greatest attributes I admired about you were all the friends you had. You were one of the most loyal customers when it came to buying hats and sweatshirts for Lane! I will miss you sweet girl. You will never be forgotten in my heart! I’m Jealous of the Angels, rest easy!

We have a quirky memory of how melted ice cream led us to meet Jessica.
We decided to go for ice cream after Wednesday evening Mass in July of 2022. Ice cream melts quickly in July heat, and after 3 weeks of the same disappointment, Mary thought we should go for cold brews after Mass instead.
Jessica greeted us at MacKenzie River, and we were impressed with her from the start. She was a fresh reflection of energy and made her job look easy. She gave attention to our orders, chatted, and showed off her tattoos and nails, and by the second Wednesday, she greeted and called us her “church ladies.” We were honored by her.
Over time and with our encouragement, Jessica would sit at our booth, catch her breath, and give us a glimpse of what was new in her life. Whether it was loving Lane and the pups – along with worrying about them, collecting coffee mugs and multiple blankets, showing off her latest nails, and the challenges of keeping calm – no matter how hard it was serving a few entitled customers, to her mental health struggles. We listened to her.
There were even a few Wednesdays when she sat with us in a booth as we joined hands to give thanks for our meal, those beside us, the love and friendship between us, and God’s presence among us. She would say, “You know I’m not religious.” We loved her.
There was a time she invited Lane to come in and meet us. And all the co-workers she brought over to introduce. Just two weeks ago she stopped to visit, sharing heartbreaking news of Lane’s grandma passing. Jessica was worried about Lane and wanted nothing more than to finish what she needed to do and get home to him. I asked if it was okay to bless her. She said, “You know I’m not religious.” I traced the sign of the cross on her forehead blessing her in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Then Sheila, Mary, and I all hugged her. There’s no doubt, Jessica will be a tough act to follow. We will miss her.
The church ladies,
Linda J., Mary V., and Sheila H.
