JoAnne and I worked together at a retirement home here in Helena and became good friends. She was a “hoot” to be around…always smiling, happy, and had a fabulous sense of humor! The past few years we didn’t see a lot of each other but when we did it was like seeing her yesterday…we just picked up where we left off the last time! This was such a special relationship…one that I will never forget. My deepest condolences to JoAnne’s entire family and friends, we all have lost a darn good woman way too early and she will be missed so much. Love you JoAnne

My thoughts and prayers go out to the OLDS FAMILY! Sally and Jack I just wanted to say that a mother teaches us right from wrong but she does not teach us how to live without them. I have always liked your mom, we worked together for eighteen years. We used to say that we came as a package deal because we both left big sky care center at the same time and went to cooney nursing home. Working the night shift together for ever it seemed, we became friends. I could talk to her like a sisters, we got to the point that we could finish each others words. I know we will all miss her but we all have great memories that she has left us with. I will cherish each and every one of them. GOD BLESS!!!!!

JoAnn and Lynn were the first Nurse’s I worked with after moving to Helena from Lethbridge , Alberta. I remember Tom coming in when we were working on hot summer eveining to bring us rootbeer floats. He called JoAnn” Dolly ” and now they are together again. Jack and Sally your mother earned her halo and angel wings a long time ago. May memories of her last you and your families a life time. She will be missed by all of those lives she touched in her career.
Dana Moyer says
I knew Joanne from working at the Cooney home from 1998 till 2010. Joanne was a wonderful person to work with and was always loving and kind to the residents. I remember her husband from his visits to bring treats. They held hands after many years of marriage and seemed to be so much in love. It was so hard when she had to say goodbye to him. I will always remember her and I know that she did earn her wings a long time ago. Go in peace my sweet friend.
Delia Gill says
To Jo-Jo’s family
I worked with Jo at Cooney from 2007 until 2012. Many a day we would work together and share stories in the staff break room, especially her trips she took to Hawaii. She was a kind spirit but she also told you like it was when she didn’t agree with something. That was something I admired her for. She touched the lives of all of us here on earth and now she is smiling down on us!! She will be missed.
Lana and Skip Stillman says

Dottie Ferrell says
My beautiful friend Joanne, Hardly a day goes by now, that I don’t briefly think about you and the special friendship you gave to me in the 10 years that we worked together and played as a foursome with our husbands. We have hundreds of shared stories and experiences from some sad, but mostly happy and so much fun. I recall the night we hot tub’d, had a fabulous dinner, super wine until we were silly out of our minds and shared a cigar…then came the dizzy upset stomach, but couldn’t stop laughing through it all. I am so thankful that you left such wonderful children, Jack and Sally, who have remained good friends. Wish we lived closer to your wonderful children as Roger and I feel like a part of their families too. Bonds become strong when there is respect, fun, understanding and so much love. I will miss you until the day I get to join you, where ever that may be. Hope it is not in a HOT place, as I don’t tolerate heat very well. Haha
