John Charles Boyle
On the evening of May 10, 2014, John passed away at the University of Washington Medical Center surrounded by his family. John was 53 years old.
John was born at the Mountain Home Air Force Base, Idaho, on October 28, 1960. He was the second son of John and Toni Boyle.
Johnny B was a friend to all who knew him. He was known for his infectious smile and had a knack for making people laugh. His giving attitude was felt by many, whether it was a car ride home, lending a few dollars to pay a bill, or offering a job to someone in need of employment. If you measured John’s wealth by the amount of friends he had, John would be considered a wealthy man. John had many good friends, but his best friend was his son, JT. He enjoyed watching JT’s sporting activities and coaching his small fry football team. One of their favorite past times was taking car ride adventures across the state and beyond.
Family was important to John. Whether it was a Christmas celebration, a birthday dinner at the Marysville House, or using his “professional driving skills” for a trip to Butte for Evel Knievel Days, John was always there. Perhaps the most precious time he spent with his family was during his stay at the University of Washington Medical Center, a bittersweet moment. Out of such a trying time arose a family bond that will never be broken. John’s final gift.
John was preceded in death by his father, John Thomas Boyle.
John is survived by his son, JT; mother, Toni; brother, Tom (Debbie); sisters Cindy and Mary (Mike). He is also survived by six nieces and nephews; Danni and Jessi Boyle, Christine and Brandon Cieri, and Katey and Corey Gorsage.
Special thanks to the University of Washington staff for their expertise and compassion during John’s Hospitalization.

‘Very sorry to know of this. I first met John in Fall 1978 at Helena High. Although I did not know him well or closely, whenever we saw each other over the years it was easy to see he was truely a friend to eveyone. Along with that easy friendliness and polite manners, there was always that great smile. Walking across the store somewhere or going to the next isle in Safeway to say hello was easy, as the response from John was always one that could be predicted. He was a great guy. Take care. Many are blesssed by his friendship.
