John Edward Jirsa born August 25, 1965, to Charlotte and John Jirsa in Havre, MT passed away on January 29th, 2024, of natural causes.
John was a lifelong Montana resident. John attended school in Helena until 1980 when the family moved to Havre, MT. John attended Helena College of Technology and graduated with an associate degree in Information Technology and Programing.
John is the sixth of 10 children.
John worked different jobs but the last and longest was at Walmart in the sporting goods section. John worked more than 20 years with Walmart.
John was an avid hunter, enjoyed fishing, and target shooting. He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.
John became interested in a subject and jumped in with both feet and focused his energy on the subject. John researched family genealogy and was always eager to share his knowledge of the results of his research.
John was not married or had any children but had lots of nieces and nephews that he gave a lot of attention to.
John was proceeded in death by his parents Charlotte Jirsa and John Jirsa, three brothers Walter Thompson, Kenneth Thompson and Eddie Jirsa, several aunts, and uncles, one nephew Heironymous (Ron) Hands and a niece Karrah Ellari Thompson.
John is survived by siblings Barbara Hands of Missoula, Wayne (Vicki) Dion of Montana City, Tammie (Gary) Berg of Helena, Veronica (Stac) Hinkle of Helena, Suzanne Laursen of Lolo, Steffanie Jirsa of Missoula, Aunt Loretta Porter of Paradise, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Memorial Services will be held Friday, February 16th at Anderson Stevenson Wilke Funeral Home at 3:00 p.m. Graveside services will follow the memorial service to Sunset Memorial Gardens. A reception at Anderson Stevenson Wilke Funeral Home will follow graveside services.

John was my husband’s nephew and lived just down the road from us. We always enjoyed his visits and talking about good times. He was invaluable to me when my husband passed away last year providing guidance and support when I needed it most. I will truly miss him and my prayers go out to the rest of the family.
