I will remember Jon as one of the strongest personalities in smiles, care and kindness and having one of the biggest hearts for others. I played football with him back @ Minot High School and for a “little guy” he was a forced to be reckoned with. He was a positive influence to those around him, encouraged others including myself by his positive outlook on life. I’m so sorry to hear of his passing. I knew Fred also, my heart goes out to you man. I pray you find PEACE in this very difficult moment. Loved you both. Jim Pence

I’m so sorry to hear of Jon’s passing. I was a classmate of Jon’s at Minot High (class of 1975). I have not seen Jon since high school, but did reconnect with him on Facebook after he moved back to Minot. He was a great guy and always brought a special light to any room he entered.

My deepest sympathies and may you keep his memory in your hearts forever.

I am so sad to hear of Joncarlos death. I remember the fun times we had in high school and all the laughs we had. He is the one and only Mr. Magic City! I will never forget Jon, what a great guy. The world is a little sadder without him. My sympathies to Jon’s family.

I’m thinking of all of you. To lose Jon so close to the loss of Tony seems too much for a family to have to bear. My thoughts are with you, and with Jon Carlo. He is an unforgettable, passionate individual, and I will hold onto my memories of him with fondness. Love to you all, Michele

I’m so sorry to all of the family of JonCarlo. It was such a shock to hear of his passing. I loved to laugh with/at him. I loved watching him on stage. When we were young I loved dancing with him because he knew just how to throw you around and make it so fun. All that knew him will miss him. Minot will miss him.

My sympathies go out to Jon’s family and friends. As a classmate of Jon’s, I will always remember his smile and personality that was much larger than his stature. There were always fun and laughter around him. Our “Mr. Magic City”, friend, son and brother will surely be missed. Cherish the memories.

Jon was one great guy. He sparkled with energy and blazed his own trails. He was kind enough to contact me after he moved back to Minot. We met in high school and I spent some formative time with both Jon and his younger brother Fred skiing in the Rockies and sometimes at the trestle. Jon was an extremely talented person and I am grateful to have had made his acquaintance. Best regards to the Frank family.

I am so very sad to hear the news of Joncarlo’s passing. I danced with him in Cleveland San Jose Ballet for many years and have nothing but the happiest memories of working with him. I always remember laughing around him more than anything. Some of my best memories are with Joncarlo in character roles. Nutcracker party scene he made a hysterical little boy, Drosselmeyer’s sidekick in a green leprechaun suit and he was great as the “fool” in Three Virgins and a Devil. And even as one of the stepsisters in Cinderella. He was wonderful. Not to mention years of big ballets like Romeo and Juliet, Swan Lake and Coppelia that we danced together.
I will always cherish the memories I have of Joncarlo. I hope that he is at peace and knows that he is loved by so many.

I am so shocked and saddened by this news. We were out touch but I still thought of him and all our fun times together often. Weird that I thought of him just today before a friend called with the news. I have fond memories of his warm generous family. Joncarlo was an original with a heart of gold! He could light up a theater or a room with his infectious energy and smile. He will be missed. I will keep all of you in my prayers.

I know this is late but just got a computer!
Fred I can not begin to express the shock and sorrow I felt when I had seen that Jon had passed away. Know that I have been thinking of you and your family at this difficult time. There are just to many good times and memories that I have of Jon that I will always cherish. You are all in my prayers. As difficult as it is one needs to go on and I know that Jon would want this too. He was a true friend and I was so fortunate to have known him so well for so long. Please know that I am thinking of all of you at this difficult time in your lives. PS Hope you found a place for a cactus in my mothers memory in Chicago! Stay Strong and God Bless all of you.

Is there a time limit to share my deepest sorrow with my dear old friend’s family? Having just learned of his death(3 years later) I will anyway. I am so sorry for your loss. Joncarlo was such a good, generous, funny and best friend. I was an ‘outsider’ amoung the ballet crowd yet we became the best of friends after we met waiting tables at Trattoria Pagliacci on Broadway. We spent hours, days, months in his camper ‘home’. He built me a fireplace mantle while staying at my apt and we watched fireworks over Lake Union every year he was here. RIP my dear friend, you brought me so much happiness.
