On the evening of May 16, 2014 at around 11 p.m. Joseph passed away at the site of an automobile accident due to injuries received from the accident. Joseph was 19 years old.
Joseph was born on January 14, 1995 at St. Peter’s Hospital in Helena, Montana. He was the sixth child of Angela Thompson and the first son of Michael Bussian.
As early as Joseph could walk his desire for the outdoors was great. As an all American boy he grew up experiencing many adventures with his family from traveling, to digging for minerals and hunting and fishing.
Joseph’s desires for digging waned, his love for snakes and fishing grew. His desire to fish grew and grew to the point that his goal for a career was to be a pro-fishing host on t.v. and travel the world to fish.
Joseph’s favorite pet was the ball python and enjoyed watching them grow from baby’s to 5 and 6 foot snakes. Never able to leave his snakes behind he would hide them in his shirts and coats and went everywhere with them. With the passing of his first snake Rosie Joseph was so sad he tattooed a memorial on his arm for the snake.
Joseph is survived by mother Angela Thompson (Jordan), father Michael Bussian (Patricia), sisters Tamara Bussian, Juanita Bussian, Tabatha Engelhart, brothers Arthur Bussian, Jessie Howe, William Howe and lifetime friend and cousin Jade Nickerson.

I was Joseph’s 5th grade teacher. The one thing we had in common was we both loved ball pythons. In fact I have one in my classroom now that I will rename JB in honor of Joseph. He used to bring his snake to visit me and tell about sleeping with his. I never loved my enough to do that. I am truly sorry to hear of his death. My sympathy goes out to all his family and many friends.
