Joseph S. Prebil III, 58, of East Helena, passed away on October 16, 2019. Joe was born September 4, 1961, to Joseph and Lois Prebil in East Helena Montana.
Joe was a very hard worker and held various jobs until he wasn’t able to because of his extensive injuries. In the spring of 1989, Joe was injured, which he would never fully recover. In the summers, you could usually find him tending to the garden, or he would be camping at his family’s land near Lincoln. He liked to give rides on the four-wheelers to his nieces and nephews when everybody went camping. Joe enjoyed spending time with the kids when they came and visited. You could always stop by the garage and have a cold one with him.
The funeral service will be 1 pm Wednesday, October 30 at Anderson Stevenson Wilke. A reception will follow in the social hall of the funeral home. Memorials in Joe’s name are suggested to St. Ann’s Cemetery Assn, P.O. Box 525, East Helena, Montana 59635.

To Joe’s family, I’m so terribly sorry for your loss of, no doubt, one of your favorites. I know a bright light has been lost to heaven, leaving your world a bit dimmer. I’m really sorry.
To Joe,
“Don’t you know that you are a shooting star 🌟?
Don’t you know?
Don’t you know that you are a shooting star?
And all the world will love you as you are,
A shooting star?”. Bad Company-Shooting Star
I haven’t seen you in years sweet Joe, but I will never forget your sweetness of nature, your brightness of eye, and your lightness of spirit, even after you were so devastatingly hurt. God bless, dear friend.
Until we meet again for a beer and a game of pool…
Raini
