Jude Catherine (Rognstad) Billington passed away at St Peter’s Hospital on February 29th. She was surrounded by family and friends.
Jude was born in Butte, Mt on September 15, 1953 to Arlie and Helen Rognstad of Butte, MT. She grew up on a ranch in Brown’s Gulch with her two brothers Rodney, and James. She attended local Butte grade schools as well as Butte High School and graduated from MSU.
Since the early days of marriage to Jerry Billington (1974), Jude worked and love entertaining. Her home was always filled with family and children – friends of her son Kris, family members, or friends. She was an excellent cook and no one went hungry.
She traveled to Europe with her Father, which included meeting his relatives, and told great tales of the experience.
She loved family, cooking, and animals. She always had a handout for a stray animal, dog, cat, bird or whatever crossed her path.
She is survived by her son Kris and brothers Rodney and James Rognstad as well as many nieces and nephews.
Jude will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 10th at 2:00 p.m. at the American Legion (Post 2) on Custer St in Helena, MT.
