Judie Ann Moore Hernandez, 50, of Helena passed away on November 27, 2011 of complications of a lung disease. Judie was born January 6, 1961 in Phoenix, AZ. She was proudly adopted soon after by Calvin and Kathleen Moore, who loved her so very much.
She attended Hug High and graduated at the young age of 16, and she then started her life with Rueben Hernandez. They were married on November 4th, 1977, in Reno, NV, and they knew from the start they were meant to be together forever. They moved to Helena, Montana in 1979, where they started their family. Judie was so happy to have found her soul mate and to be raising three children whom she loved with all her heart. Judie was a great mother and loved her family most of all.
She worked at Wal-Mart for six years, but she had a calling to be a childcare provider. She loved her job as she was able to love so many children and mold them into wonderful young people. She worked alongside her best friend, Theresa Corbett, for seven years when she got the opportunity to purchase the Daycare. She then worked for another five years with her daughter, Angie. She retired from the childcare business in 2010. She loved her job so much that when she retired she still took children into her home.
Judie was a big fan of rodeos, and never missed a chance to see her sons, or grandchildren ride. She also had a great love for horses, and loved to read. Her favorite thing of all was to spend time with her family.
Judie is preceded in death by her parents, Calvin and Kathleen, grandparents, sisters-in-law, Felicia and Anita, and niece, Heather.
She is survived by her husband, Rueben; daughter, Angie (Peter) Hernandez-Olson; sons, Jason (Katie) Hernandez, and Jeremy (Megan) Hernandez; seven wonderful grandchildren; in-laws, Al and Maxine Frezzette; brother, John (Valerie) Moore of Reno, NV; and her best friend, Theresa Corbett.
A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, December 3rd, at Anderson Stevenson Wilke Funeral Home, 3750 North Montana Avenue. A reception will follow in the social hall of the funeral home. Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting: www.aswfuneralhome.com

Rueben and family; I can’t tell you how sad Ian and I were to hear of Judie’s passing. I have so many memories, year after year, hanging with her at the Diamond picnics..it was our little “click”. She was a sweet person, thoughtful and gracious, she put everyone ahead of herself. And her face would always light up whenever I ran into her at the store or wherever. I can picture that smile right now. I just want you to know we are here for you, if you need anything at all, we will never forget her. May God bless you all and get you through this hard time.
