Today June 26th we say goodbye to our beloved wife, mom, mama, and friend Judy Tinder as she made her way to be with her Savior. Judy was born in Whitehall September 17th 1949 in a hospital that was going out of business. She later moved with her family to Butte where she grew up, and spent every summer at her family lake house on Flathead Lake. She graduated from Butte high as a Butte high bulldog, she then went on to beauty school at the Butte Academy of Beauty School where she crafted her love for hair.
She married her love Skip Tinder on August 26th, 1973 in Butte Montana, they lived in Bozeman, MT where they had 2 daughters and a granddaughter and grandsons. Judy had a special love for children and ran a daycare for several decades. She kept in contact with many of her daycare babies long after the daycare closed doing hairdo’s or lunches whatever it was to continue to spend time with them.
Judy loved nothing more than spending time with her family, she loved to make homemade gifts for people. Judy loved floating on a lake or floating down the Madison river.
Judy will be greatly missed and forever remembered as a loving caring tender soul.
Judy was preceded in death by, her Parents, Norm Amerman and Laura Amerman, her in-laws, Jack Tinder and Marie Tinder; her brother in-law, Grant Ballantyne.
She is survived by her hubby, Skip Tinder of Bozeman; daughter Misti Tinder, daughter, Mandi Tinder; her angel, Ashley Tinder (18), Her boy, Casey Streich (14); her paramedic grandson, Dominic Streich (24); her baby brudders, (as she would say) Jeff Amerman (Theresa), Zach Anderson, Mallie and her other brothers, Jon Amerman (Sue), Zak and Luke Meeker, her brothers were the lights of her life. Also, her sister in-law, Jackie Ballantyne of Manhattan; niece, Chrissy Mest and family; nephew, Brad Ballantyne and family and sister in law Kelli Amerman (Jake and Joleen Amerman). Judy has family all over whom she loved and adored.

I can’t believe she is gone. We shared so many wonderful moments together, she was such an amazing person to see threw the external jerk I was and could actual see my heart. Just imagine what this would be like if everyone had a heart like hers. Wars would be gone, trivial differences would be a thing of the past and there would finally be peace on Earth…. if we all had a heart like hers. To her family: whatever you need, I’ll be here.

My brother and I grew up with Amerman girls.
Our parents were best friends.
She did love her kids she babysat as she sat my kids.
A few will get this but “Mark did it!”

I grew up with Judy. She was my little sister. Judy
cared for our daughters and loved them like her own. We will miss her as will our daughters.
Nancy Hall (Matthiesen) says
I was one of her daycare kids in the 80s, and I wish I had gotten to see her one more time and have her meet my children. I have many memories of spending time in her home, thankfully not the memory of when I needed stitches on my chin due to the fireplace. My condolences to Misti, Mandi, and Skip.

Skip, Misti and Mandi
Sending so much love your way. Give that Skip a huge hug. Judy has always been one of our favorite people in this world. Her big smile and humor just lit up rooms and always brought big smiles. I have always treasured the times we were able to see your family when you came to the lake or when we made it your way…I hope Alan was there to give that girl a big hug and a welcome to heaven.
Love to all of you
Mary
