On the afternoon of June 22, 2022, Judy Rae Broadwater unexpectedly passed away while being surrounded by family.
Judy was born December 2, 1958 in Phoenix, AZ to Ronald & Darlene Rasmuson. She graduated from Capital High School in 1976. She then pursued a degree at Carrol College, graduating with her bachelor’s degree in business & accounting.
During her career, she worked for several state & federal agencies before retiring in 2021.
In her spare time, she enjoyed life’s most precious gifts, her grandchildren Rylee & Blake. She enjoyed spending time with her family & friends. She loved the outdoors, travelling the world, kayaking on the rivers, boating, and she truly loved helping others.
She was the most caring & giving person we knew. She was always helping someone and was so thoughtful & generous toward others. She truly had a hear of gold and never expected anything in return. God received one of the most precious angels in Heaven, the day she left this earth. We miss her dearly & she will always be in our hearts.

Erin, I am sorry to hear of your mother’s passing. Please know she openly shared her love and pride for you. I have always had a high opinion of Judy, she was a good friend and a kind person with integrity. I was fortunate to have spent several years working with Judy. You and your family will be our prayers.

We are so sad to hear of Judy’s passing. She became a dear friend during our trip to Italy in 2019. She was so kind and patient with us. She took us under her wing and helped us plan for the trip and then navigate our way through a new country. She hosted us a couple of times in her home and we enjoyed a good bottle of wine from Italy and a wonderful dinner. We had such a special time. “Chin Chin” Judy. We will never forget you.

Please accept my condolences in the passing of Judy. I met Judy years ago when she worked at the Federal Courthouse. Her office was right next door to where I worked. She was so friendly and just one of those type of people that you liked right away. I also would run into her at the East Helena Post Office on occasion. Rest in Peace my friend.
