Julie Ann Burch passed away November 6, 2024 at the age of 65. Julie was the 2nd of 4 children who was born September 29, 1959 in Thermopolis Wyoming to Calvin (Cal) Lantz and Bonnie McDonald Lantz. Julie and her family traveled the states of Montana and Wyoming where Cal worked in the oil and gas fields until settling in Deer Lodge Montana in 1971.
Julie excelled in High School and was active in cheerleading and loved to sing in the Choir.
Julie married David (Dave) Burch her high school sweetheart in 1977 in Anaconda and together, they lived in seven different cities and towns in Montana. Eventually moving their family back to Helena Montana in 1990. They raised two children, Jeremy Burch (Julie) South Odgen UT, Adam Burch Helena MT.
Julie worked multiple jobs: Sherrif Dispatcher, Waitress, Secretary, insurance compliance, and finally ending her career with the State of Montana Workman’s Compensation Division and retired in June 2022.
Julie enjoyed snowmobiling, ATV and UTV riding, camping, fishing and just being outdoors. Most importantly Julie dearly loved her 5 grandchildren: Dalton, Adara, Trinity, Alayna, Lilian and her great grandchild, Magnolia.
Julie was preceded in death by her grandparents, Jerome and Glayds Lantz, Margaret and Alexander McDonald, Parents Bonnie and Calvin Lantz, Brothers Tom and Kenneth Lantz. Julie had the pleasure of coming from a large and wonderful loving family that included her Sister-in-law Maureen (Munden) Lantz, her Youngest Brother Mike Lantz and her Neice’s Mallory and Shaylyn Lantz and Nephew’s Zane, Seth, and Alex Lantz, numerous Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins. She was especially close to her Aunt Shirley Pfeifer and Aunt Patty (Lantz) Neilsen whom she loved dearly.
Grave site service (for family, relatives and friends) will take place on November 16 at 1:00 pm at the Forestville Cemetery, followed by a reception at the Anderson Stevenson Wilke Funeral Home in Helena MT.
