Karen S. Widdicombe

January 19, 1957 – September 21, 2011

Karen Widdicombe, 54, of Helena, formerly of Harlowton passed away of natural causes with her family at her side, at her home in Helena Wednesday, September 21, 2011.

Karen was born in Harlowton, January 19, 1957 to Anthony and Joyce (Devereaux) Mager. She graduated from high school in Harlowton. Karen and Bud Widdicombe were married June 25, 1985 in Eugene, Oregon. Karen worked as a bartender at the Graves Hotel in Harlowton. Karen and Bud have lived in Helena for 10 years. She worked in customer service for Target for a short time.

Karen was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and one sister. She is survived by her husband, Bud of Helena; stepson, Lon Widdicombe of Arizona; brothers, Larry Mager and Kenny Mager both of Harlowton; two grandchildren, Jennifer and Tristan, several nieces, nephews and extended family.

A funeral service for her family was held at Anderson Stevenson Funeral Home. Come join the family and friends at a social gathering celebrating Karen’s life to be held from 12:30-2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 24th at the family home, 6090 MT Vista Rd., (Birdseye) Helena. Burial of Karen’s cremated remains will take place at a later date. Memorials in Karen’s name are suggested to the Lewis & Clark Humane Society, P.O. Box 4455, Helena, 59604.
