In Loving Memory of Kathleen (Kathie) Marie McGreeevy Graveley
Kathleen (Kathie) Marie McGreevy Graveley, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and
friend passed away peacefully at the age of 74 on November 24, 2025, at St. Peter’s Hospital in
Helena, Montana. Her loving husband of 54 years, Doug Graveley, was by her side.
Born on September 27, 1951, to Harry and Marian (Hogan) McGreevy, Kathie was the third of
nine children in a warm Irish Catholic family. Raised in Anaconda, Montana she graduated
from Anaconda High School in 1970 and went on to Ethel’s Beauty College.
Kathie met Douglas Aaron Graveley of Avon, Montana and they were united in marriage on
September 4, 1971, in Anaconda. Together, they welcomed two children: Shauna Danielle
(Graveley) Krawl and Luke Aaron Graveley. Family was the heart of Kathie’s life. She cherished
the moments spent camping, playing cards, and enjoying time with extended family.
A devoted caregiver, Kathie found immense joy in cooking for family and friends, welcoming
everyone with an open heart and home cooked meal the moment they walked through the
door. Her love extended to her granddaughter, Charlie McCall Krawl, with whom she shared a
special bond. Kathie’s affection for children was evident in the warmth she provided to her
nieces and nephews, making each one feel loved.
Kathie was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Marian (Hogan) McGreevy, her brother Jack McGreevy and her sister Anne (Annie) Florer McGreevy.
She is survived by her devoted husband Doug, her children Danielle and Luke, her granddaughter Charlie, her brothers Kevin (Sylvia) McGreevy, Tom (Linda) McGreevy, and Bob McGreevy and her sisters Bartley (Bob) McGreevy Larocque, Mary Jean (Denny) McGreevy Finn, and Glynn (Brad) McGreevy Hines.
A private burial was held, and the family plans to celebrate Kathie’s life in the spring.
Kathie will always be remembered for her generous spirit, loving heart, and the countless lives
she touched.
