Kathryn (Katie) M. Tucker, 89, died peacefully March 5, 2014, after battling cancer for the last year. Katie is survived by her husband Richard, of 65 years, her brother Allen Miller of California, her son Harold, daughter Shelley (Ben) Juvan; and her six grandchildren: Greg (Kriss) Juvan of Livingston, Amy (Scott) Thiel, Laura Juvan-George (John), Brandee Tucker, Michael Tucker and Britt-Nee (Matt) Byrd; along with fifteen great-grandchildren.
Kathryn was Worthy Matron of Josephine Hepner #89, Order of the Eastern Star, and a member of the Daughters of the Nile. She also served as the Service Unit Manager for the Helena area for the Girls Scouts of Big Sky Council for several years.
Katie loved crafting, listening to her music, playing her organ, working cross-word puzzles, and traveling. She had a love for beautiful clothing and enjoyed finding hidden treasures in garage sales and thrift stores; often times delivering those treasures to her beloved grandchildren. She was always thinking of others and welcomed visitors with a big smile and a cup of coffee.
By Katie’s request, no formal service will be held; however, the family will be hosting a celebration of her life Saturday, March 15th at the Consistory Shrine Temple from 2 pm to 4 pm.

My heart is so heavy for you loss. I have nothing but wonderful memories of Katy, and will treasure the times we were able to spend together. Although it has been many years since I had seen her, which I will always regret, I thought of her often. I feel so honored to have had her for a friend. I wish all of you peace in knowing she is in a better place, and that the memories you have of Katy will soon overcome the sadness I know you all must feel at this time. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Love, Mary Lamb
