Kenneth “Kenny” Abel, age 61, of Helena, MT passed away on March 31, 2015.
Kenny was born on July 18, 1953 in Oakdale, CA and grew up in Modesto, CA.
Kenny worked in the body and paint industry, was a truck driver and also a mechanic. He spent his career working for Treasure State Transit.
Kenny married Vicky Abel in Muskogee, OK in July 1976. They spent 39 years of marriage together. Not only was Vicky his wife, she was also his best friend.
Kenny was a master craftsman with unsurpassable abilities to build something out of nothing and fix anything that could break. He loved his family and friends and will never be forgotten.
Kenny is preceded in death by his father, William “Bill” Abel; mother, Mabel Abel; sister, Jeanette Abel; and granddaughter, Andrea Trapp.
Kenny is survived by his loving wife, Vicky Abel; his children, Casey Abel, Alisha Abel-Hall and Allen Hall, Carrie Trapp and Cozette Lambertson; his father-in-law, Gene Christiansen; mother-in-law, Mary Ronshaugen and her husband Jim; his siblings, Alan and Gina Abel, Rodney Abel, Cindy and Carl James, Randy Christiansen (brother-in-law), Tammy Christiansen (sister-in-law) and Doug Vallance; his grandchildren, Izziah Hall, Aasin Hall, Ronald Trapp, Justus Lambertson and Lacey Lambertson; his nieces, Crystal Abel, Amanda Miller, Aleah Miller, Amy Garcia, Becky Christiansen, Lyndsey and Shay; his Aunt Myrtle and Uncle Hartzel; and his good friends: Lou Eastwood, Denny Haugen, Raoul Lambertson, John Kinnick, Larry Olsen, and many, many more.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at Anderson Stevenson Wilke Funeral Home, 3750 N. Montana Ave. A luncheon will be hosted immediately following the memorial service at Vicky’s home, 405 Sewell Rd., Helena, MT 59602.
