KASPER, Kenneth “Kenny”, age 78, of Helena, passed away peacefully on the morning of May 30, 2018. He was at his home in Helena, Montana, with his loving family by his side. Born December 30, 1939, in Corvallis, Montana, to Theodore and Mary Kasper. Kenny was the second of five children. Kenny graduated from Fairfield High School in 1958. He participated in many sports and was an All-State long-distance runner. After high school, he joined the Navy for four years and traveled the world on aircraft carriers. After the military, Kenny worked for the Montana FWP and Hartz Construction, where he started his career as a lineman. He then went to work for Mountain States Telephone Company and successor Qwest where he retired after a 38-year career. After retirement he continued to work at Rucker’s Furniture. He was a man who loved his family unconditionally. He enjoyed gardening, sports, especially Carroll College Football, traveling, and perhaps most of all his four-legged furry friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife Marge Kasper; step-children, Jason Pepos and Jacob West; daughter, Saxon(Jeremy) Inabnit; grandchildren, Tyler and Madison Inabnit; brother’s, Gary(Kari) and Neal(Tiffany) Kasper; sister’s, Lillian(Stan) Alfson and Shirley(Jim) Hoover.
A service celebrating his life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 8 at Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Church, 3580 N Benton Ave, Helena, MT 59602. Military Honors will immediately follow the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Kenny’s name to the Lewis & Clark Humane Society, P.O. Box 4455, Helena, MT 59604, or Shriner’s Hospital for Children, ℅ Alegria Shrine Temple, P.O. Box 4879, Helena, MT 59604.

I talked to Ken during halftime at all of the CC Saints football games. He would critic the game and suggested some adjustments for the coaching staff. He was usually correct. He was a great fan and paid attention. Will miss seeing him there. He made it to the end zone.
