Lori and Bubbie & AJ,
I am so very sorry for tragic loss of your soulmate and the best dog dad ever. There are just no words that can make sense of how this could happen to you all. I know Kerry left this world doing what he loved, and even more importantly, knowing how much he was loved in the life you created together. I suspect he is enjoying a good visit with your folks and Cec right about now. My heart goes out to you all. I pray you find peace and comfort in each other and in the friends and family that are here for you.
James Prusa says
May the Lord grant Kerry eternal peace! He was a good man and he ran a good race to the end. I was with him on Wednesday morning working with him to repair his busted excavator.
I only knew Kerry for the last two weeks. We have been working on my property together, but we were kindred spirits – both of us were Vietnam vets and also both did much golf course construction. We really hit it off, telling one another all about our lives. I do not make friends very easy, but I can call him a friend.
Kerry spoke about how lucky we both were to have wonderful wives. Though I have not met you Lori, Kerry told me he was blessed to have you and he obviously loved you dearly! You are now in my prayers and I am confident that the Lord will bring you comfort.
It was an honor to get to know Kerry Cross. Brief though the time, knowing him is a treasure for me of great value. I’ll be at Fort Harrison to render proper military salute and honor his service to our country!
May God bless Kerry and our country that he loved!

I had the privilege of working with Kerry on numerous Forest Service timber sales. He was the best road builder I have ever worked with. He really had an amazing smile and knew how to make a horrible road back to looking like new. His ability on every piece of machinery was unparalleled. He always had time for a good story or two and he will be missed. I was blessed to have known him!

I also had the privilege of working with Kerry last summer in the Castle Mountains. He was great to work with and I always enjoyed spending the day with him and his crew. He was a very kind and respectful man and he always went above and beyond in his work. We have some great Forest Service roads in the Castle Mtns thanks to Kerry!
All of you are in my prayers and may God heal your broken hearts.

Tim Mickey says
So saddened by your loss Lori. I dont believe we ever met. I remember when me and Kerry got the Huffman Grocery delivery truck stuck in the Rumsey swimming hole. Huffman was my grandpa so I really didnt have quite the explaining to do as to why the delivery truck was stuck in the creek as Kerry did, when it was supposed to be delivering groceries in town. From that day on I was banned from the delivery truck, and he got to keep his job. As if it was my fault (lol) that we done did what we done did. Tight lines and fly high old friend. See ya on the other side.
Donna Bateman says

John Kelly says
If I have the right Kerry here, and I believe I do, I served with him on Operation Blazing Trails in central America, and he was somewhat of a mentor to me, during my time with the 844th. He kind of looked after some of us young pups back then, and we appreciated him. He taught me several things about the military and trucking.
I was thinking about him today for some reason, and did a search, found this obituary.
I’m sorry for your loss Lori.
John Kelly AKA former Kelly of the 844th Engineers.
