In Memory Of

Kevin Hays, age 43, of Helena

April 6, 1977 – October 10, 2020

Kevin J Hays, 43

Kevin J Hays, 43, went to our Lord and Savior October 10, 2020, at his home in Helena, MT with his wife, Treanna Hays by his side, after a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born April 6, 1977 in St. Louis, MO to Michael Hays and Janet Zimmerman.  He was raised and spent most of his adult life in Missouri before he moved to Helena Montana.

Kevin could accomplish anything he set his mind to do.  He was very good with his hands.  Kevin couldn’t smell so being a plumber was no issue for him.  He was a member of the Union, Plumbers & Pipefitters Local 562 of Missouri.  Kevin did various other jobs, but plumbing was his career.

Kevin enjoyed his family, thrilling adventures, his toy collection, and the great outdoors of Montana.  He was very kind to others and always found a way to make others laugh.  Anyone who knew him, knows he was a great guy, quick wit, and had a love for animals and helping others in need.

Kevin is survived by his wife, Treanna Hays; his two sons, Ethan and Mason Hays; his two stepchildren, Katarina Jenkins (Dave) and Konrad Olsen; and his mother Janet Zimmerman.  He is also survived by his grandparents and several other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father Michael Hays and Grandmother Patricia Hays.

Kevin attended Big Sky Fellowship where he made new friends and was recently baptized there August 16, 2020.

Today we continue our journey on this earth and look forward to being reunited with Kevin in eternity with our Lord and Savior. Please visit below to offer the family a condolence or share a memory of Kevin.

The loss of a spouse, especially a gentleman this young, is heart-wrenching. It is obvious, this surely does not need to be told to Treanna, that Kevin absolutely adored and loved his wife. Now Kevin is walking around, talking to Abraham, Moses, Peter, Paul, and many Born Again Believers that got their orders to go Home ahead of Kevin. A friend of mine from Tennessee got wounded and they sent him back to the world, Japan then Tennessee. I was very upset at this, as he should have been with me in the jungle. Kevin is out of danger and singing and dancing. He cannot miss anyone on earth as there is no time in Heaven, just Eternal. He will rejoice when Treanna is escorted by angels to him. God Bless Treanna during this heavy journey of grieving and missing.

Treanna, I’m so sorry that you’ve lost your husband. I am sending you my biggest hug and lots of prayers for your peace, and that which passes understanding. I’m so glad he was baptized this summer.

The Fort Zumwalt Class of 1996 is so saddened to hear this news. Kevin was such a great and friendly guy in school and it is so neat to read what a great life he had after we lost touch at graduation. We pray for his family and friends to get through these rough times and know that in the end we will all be together again someday. Alison Porter- Bell and FZN class.

So sorry to hear about Kevin’s passing. I didn’t know him for very long, but I could tell immediately that he was an amazing person. And definitely one of the funniest people that I’ve ever met! He kept me laughing every day at work, and made every day tremendously better. My condolences to his family. Rest in peace Kev
