Lauren Robst Donithan, 38, of Montana City, peacefully passed away on January 31, 2025, surrounded by her loving family, after a courageous battle with gastric cancer.
Born on September 6, 1986, Lauren lived a life dedicated to her faith in Jesus Christ, which was evident in every aspect of her journey. Her unwavering trust in God’s plan sustained her throughout her illness, providing comfort and strength to both herself and those around her.
Lauren’s greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her devoted husband, Daniel Donithan, and their two young sons, Elijah and Connor, who were the center of her world. She is also survived by her father, Paul Robst; mother, Roslyn Atkins; brother, Chris Robst and his wife Alayna; grandfather, Doug Maulden; and many other extended family members who cherished her deeply.
As a dietitian, Lauren found fulfillment in helping others overcome nutritional challenges. Her passion for the outdoors was evident in her love for hiking, biking, and running – activities that allowed her to appreciate all of God’s creation.
Lauren’s gift of hospitality was a testament to her generous spirit. She opened her heart and home to others, creating a warm and welcoming environment. Her ability to care for others, even in the midst of her own struggles, was a true reflection of her Christ-like character.
Throughout her battle with cancer, Lauren’s faith never wavered. She faced each day with grace, courage, and an unshakeable trust in God’s plan, inspiring all who knew her. Her life was a living testimony to the power of faith and the strength that comes from a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
A celebration of Lauren’s life will be held on Friday, February 7, 2025 at Hannaford Street Bible Church in Helena, Montana. The visitation will be from 12pm to 2pm with the service starting at 2pm. Following the service will be the burial at Forestvale Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to her children’s college savings fund or Cancer Support Community Montana in Lauren’s honor, to continue her legacy of loving her family and helping others.
Lauren’s life, though cut short, was a beautiful example of faith in action. She will be remembered for her unwavering love for God, her family, and her community. May her memory be a blessing and her faith an inspiration to all who knew her.

Dear Family of Lauren,
Her testimony reaches far beyond her short life. Elijah and Conner have been so brave to go through a time of grief at such a young age. Daniel being husband and Dad trying to balance your time and keep up a solid front when many would have collapsed without your strong faith in the Lord.
Chris to show your brotherly love to your sister and your whole family to the end (beginning). Roslyn living your faith as you ministered to and cared for everybody miles apart throughout Lauren’s difficult journey. All of you have displayed God’s Light and Love and all who know you have been lifted by your Faith in our Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ.
In His Love,
Shelby and Alex Credle

Kate Hunter says
Lauren and I were roommates during our dietetic internship in Baltimore. We relied heavily on each other and bonded easily while navigating the city and our internship. Lauren was always down for exploring and having fun with friends. She was always running and she even got me to start running! She also had an amazing sense of direction and never needed to use a GPS! I will never forget our Christmas party we threw and the fun nights out we spent together. I will cherish these fond memories and I am grateful for the time we spent together.
Sharon Newcomb says
Roslyn, Jim, and Family, I am so glad I got to meet Lauren briefly one day at church. What a sweet woman with such a beautiful spirit and love for the Lord. She certainly touched many lives and her life will continue to touch many. My thoughts and prayers are with you as you walk through this sad time that God will surround you with His comfort and peace. You have the wonderful assurance of knowing that Lauren is with Jesus.

Roslyn-
Years ago, after a loss, someone gave me a card that said, “may your cares find their rest in the palm of His mighty hand.” I just love that sentiment, and that is my prayer for you, and for your son in law and those sweet grandsons of yours as well-that your cares and your sorrows might find rest in His mighty hand. Praying for you all.
