Linda Lou Martin passed away on January 30th at Piedmont Medical Center in Snellville GA at the age of 72.
Linda was born February 6th 1951 in Wadena MN, the second of four children to Wally and Donna Eliason. While she was born and raised in Minnesota Montana became Linda’s true home. She settled in White Sulphur Springs to work and raise her family with her husband Bill Martin.
It would be impossible to list all of Linda’s jobs as she frequently had two or three at a time, however, she and her husband ran the Circle V gas station and she was a cook at the Truckstop Cafe for many decades. She was also very generous volunteering her time, cooking, and baking skills to help those around her.
Though she was incredibly hard working Linda’s true love and passion was for her family. The Martin house was a constantly full and busy place where anyone was welcome. They were loving foster parents and always made room for friends and family in their home and hearts. She put endless time and energy into caring for the people, animals, and plants around her.
In addition to being a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend Linda was an artist and very crafty person. She loved reading as well as puzzles and games. No day was complete without music and she frequently talked with people about their favorite songs and bands and made a point of listening to all of their recommendations which made for some fun eclectic playlists. A very thoughtful and giving woman she always went out of her way to remember important days and celebrate the lives of those around her.
Linda was preceded in death by her husband Bill Martin, siblings Phyllis Baker, Mickey Eliason, and Cindy Eliason, daughter Glennie Black, and infant son.
Linda is survived by her son Brian (Michele) Eliason of Helena MT, son Danny Graham of Middletown VA, daughter Lynn Graham of Helena MT, and daughter Christine (Jason) Cimo of Loganville GA. She has seven grandsons, one granddaughter, six great-granddaughters with a great-grandson on the way, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends who will all miss her dearly.
A celebration of Linda’s life will be held Wednesday, February 28th at the Meagher County Community Center in White Sulphur Springs MT from 2-5. Food and drink will be provided. Memories and condolences can be shared at www.aswfuneralhome.com In lieu of flowers please make a donation to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in her name.
