Linda Hofland Stevenson, age 66, died Sunday, January 15, 2017 at St. Peter’s Hospital, following a courageous battle with lung cancer.
Linda was beloved as a wife, mother, stepmother, grandmother, great-grand mother, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, and friend.
Linda was born May 13, 1950 to Betty and Don Hofland of Brady, Montana. She grew up on a wheat farm and graduated from Brady High School in 1968. In her adult life she was blessed with 3 handsome sons, Steve, Dylan, and Ross. They lived in several Montana and Colorado communities before moving to Helena in 1987, where she met the love of her life, Ike Stevenson. They married in 2004.
Armed with a strong sense of family, a keen sense of humor, and a poor sense of direction, Linda loved riding her Harley, playing with grandkids, watching Griz football, thrift store shopping, and collecting rocks.
Linda was preceded in death by her son Dylan Kjelsrud, her parents, and her sister Bonnie Pearson. She is survived by her loving husband Ike; sons Steve (Deb) Hofland and Ross Kjelsrud; stepdaughters Erin (Jeremy) DeBorde and Casey Stevenson; stepsons Scott, Shawn, and Sheldon Stevenson and their families; brother Ray (Doretta) Hofland, sisters JoAnn Martinson and Penny (Tony) Herbert; and many grandkids, nieces and nephews, several great-grandchildren, and best friend since childhood Linda Zee.
The family would like to thank Dr. Tom Weiner and his staff, as well as the staff of St. Peter’s Hospital for the wonderful care she received during her illness. Memorials are suggested to St. Peters Hospital Foundation, or charity of your choice.
A service celebrating Linda’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 20th at Anderson Stevenson Wilke Funeral Home, 3750 N. Montana Ave. A pot-luck reception will follow the service at the Eagles Lodge #16, 801 N. Fee Street. Please see below to offer a condolence to the family or to share a memory of Linda.

Linda is and always will be in the hearts of many. To the great lady and friend that was known to us both as a neighbor and bike rider. To letting my daughter ride on the back of her Harley to tent camping, poker rides having a beer together memories go on.
