Lloyd “Douglas” Backeberg died March 18, 2024, 8 days after his 74th birthday of March 10, 1950. He was born in Great Falls but grew up in Helena, Montana. He loved cars, hunting, fishing and snowmobiling. He raced motorcycles. He married Linda Crawford and had 2 children, Dan (Bree) and Shannon (Neal Murray). He married Nina Martello and had 2 children, Lisa and Bryan (LaRae). He married Jane Hauck. He retired from the gas department at Montana Power. He was preceded in death by his parents Lloyd and Mamie “Rose” Backeberg, brother Bruce Burton and sister Diane Bo. He is survived by his sister Darlene (Kyle Bivens) and 9 grandchildren. We entrust Doug into the arms of the Good Lord.

A great grandpa he loved going on his hunting and fishing trips and I still remember catching my first fish with him. I loved going elk hunting and deer hunting as well. I’m going to miss him so much. Heaven got another angel

He was such an amazing grandfather and I will always remember and miss him. I still remember him taking me on my first hunting trip with my dad. I remember when he took me and my family boating and tubing.
