Lloyd T. Craig, age 76 of Canyon Creek, died on Thursday, March 7, 2013 at St. Peters Hospital after fighting a long battle from cancer. He was born to the late John and Fern M. (Bossell) Craig in Strool, South Dakota on September 20, 1936.
Lloyd is survived by his brother, Henry Craig of Fairfield, MT; his sisters, Betty Sperle of Hysham, MT and Katy Williams of Prairie City, SD. He was preceded in death by wife, Laura Craig; his parents; two infant brothers and brother, J. Vincent Craig; and sisters, Virginia Taylor and Jean Craig.
Lloyd attended grade school and entered in the United State Marine Corp in 1954 where he was Honorably Discharged in 1955. He met the love of his life, Laura Stinger and they were married in Seeley Lake, MT on November 9, 1958. Lloyd had many interests and enjoyed the outdoors. He work as a logger for many years and for the last fifteen years, he worked on the Ed Grady Ranch part time. He attended and was a member of the Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church in Helena.
A graveside service with military honors will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at the Montana State Veterans Cemetery at Fort Harrison. To offer a condolence to the family or share a memory of Lloyd, please visit below.
