On August 12, 2015, Lloyd Humphries passed into our loving father’s arms at the age of 59 surrounded by his family.
Lloyd was born August 6, 1956 in Glasgow, MT to William and Frances Humphries. He attended Glasgow Sr. High where he was very active in band and had received numerous awards. He Graduated in 1974.
After school he got a job with a seismograph crew and traveled the United States until he settled in Helena in 1982. There he attended the University of Montana – Helena, where he studied computer science. At the time of his passing, he was employed with Blue Cross Blue Shield.
Lloyd enjoyed cooking, and anything that dealt with computers and music.
He met his loving wife and son for the first time at JB’s in 1987 and was instantly in love. They married two years later on August 26th, 1989. They have two wonderful kids. Lloyd loved being involved with all the kids’ activities and was a huge family man. He is so proud of his kids. His family extended to his father Joe, who he enjoyed working on cars with and another mother, Angie, who he loved cooking with and giving her a bad time. Lloyd was a man that had no problem showing his love for his family and friends and if they needed anything he would be there. He is and always will be our big teddy bear.
Lloyd is preceded in death by his mother, Frances Keller; his father, William Humphries; step father, Red Keller; his brother, Steven; and a sister, Janice.
Lloyd is survived by his wife, Tammy; son, Robby (Sharaya) Humphries; daughter, Kati Humphries; sister, Joyce (Bob) Potter; brother, Dennis (Donna) Humphries; and sister, Lynn Humphries. He also has two beautiful grandkids, Kayden and Damian Humphries; and numerous nieces and nephews; and extended family members. Very special friends that will always be a part of the family: Trev Thomas and Joe Britt.
The family would like to thank Hospice and St Peters Hospital for all their support during this difficult time. Memorials in Lloyd’s name are suggested to the Hospice of St. Peter’s or to Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church.
A Funeral Mass is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 24th, 2015 at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church. A reception will follow the Mass at the church.
