Loren Bradley “Lonnie” Knutson
On the evening of July 27,2016, at the age of 56, Lonnie peacefully passed away surrounded by and comforted by his family.
Lonnie’s journey of life began on September 22, 1959 in Helena Montana when he was born the first son to Leonard and Ardyce Knutson. For his whole life, Lonnie called Helena home. As a boy he enjoyed playing baseball and football with his friends. His forever best friend was his brother and they were always up to something mischievous. Growing up he learned a love of concrete work. Lonnie graduated from Helena High School in 1978. Following in the footsteps of his father, Lonnie mastered the trade as a concrete finisher. Lonnie was always proud of his ability to leave his mark. Lonnie enjoyed fishing, camping, hiking and swimming. All that knew him knew that Lonnie worked hard, and he played hard. But most of all, he enjoyed time with his family. His nieces and his nephew were the apples of his eye. He adored his cats and we are sure they were there to greet him over the rainbow bridge.
He married Robin Lewis of Helena and lived in Oregon for a short time. They later divorced.
Lonnie is preceded in death by his father, Leonard Knutson.
Lonnie is survived by his mother, Ardyce Knutson, his sister Mickey Carlson and brother Tim Knutson. He is also survived by his nieces, Cassie Carlson and Kim Clinch (Ryan) of Spokane Washington. His nephew Chase Knutson (Tesla Hall) of Helena. Great nieces and nephews include Abbi, Skyler and Cooper of Spokane, WA. Talia, Jesse and Araya of Helena.
Lonnie will be greatly missed by his family and friends and will be forever in our hearts.
A memorial service celebrating Lonnie’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday August 5th at Anderson Stevenson Wilke Funeral home 3750 N. Montana Ave. A reception will follow the service in the social hall of the funeral home.
