Lorene Frieda Guettler passed away peacefully on April 9, 2016 in Billings with family at her side. She was 89 years old.
Lorene was born May 2, 1926 in Eustis, Nebraska. She was the last of six children born to Rosa and Fred Kuebler. The family moved to Bozeman where she completed high school.
She met and married Rudy Guettler. They settled in the Helena valley and raised their two children, Garry and Ginger.
Lorene was a homemaker, gardener, and spent many years with the Montana Highway Department, until she retired. She was a member of the Helena Valley Homemakers Club and was active with the 4-H as a leader and teacher to her children.
Lorene was very involved in her grand and great grandchildren’s lives. She also had a menagerie of pets throughout the years. Her flower gardens and fish pond brought joy.
Lorene is survived by her children Garry and Ginger, grandchildren Ron, Tina, Shauna, Justin (Susan), Jake (Mari), and great grandchildren Kayla-Ann, Cody and Cory, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Lorene is preceded in death by her parents, her brother Fred and sisters Clara, Martha, Ruth, and Elsie; her first husband Rudy, and second husband Ervin, her sister-in-law Margaret and brother-in-law Roy.
Special thanks for the compassionate and loving care Mom received at Grand Park, in Billings where Mom lived the last two and a half years of her life. Thank you to Rocky Mountain Hospice.

I have many fond memories of your Mom at the family gatherings and visiting her beautiful yard in the valley. She had such a green thumb, and was so creative in her yard with the color scheme of her flowers and even gold fish too. Thank you all she is dearly missed she was mine and my moms world we’d always go over and see her everyday and she helped me get into music much more. I’ll always remember her playing her grand piano in the living room showing me how to play. I love you gran your missed hugs and kisses
