Lorraine Campbell Plovanich Fryette, 95, went to her heavenly home on July 7, 2016 at Aspen Gardens. Lorraine was born to John and Violet Byers on February 10, 1921 in Lemmon South Dakota.
She married Thomas Plovanich in 1940. Together they enjoyed camping, fishing and spending time at their cabin in York. They raised two children and a foster son. Thomas passed away in 1981.
Lorraine later married John Fryette in 1988. Their love of dancing was evidenced by the frequency of which they were seen at the Elks in Helena. They wintered in Arizona where square dancing was one of their favorite activities. John passed away in 1993.
Lorraine very much enjoyed being a waitress and ensured that all those she served were treated to an excellent dining experience. Children and her love of family were so very important to her that she raised her two children, a foster son, a grandson and even great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, brother John Byers, Sr. and her grandsons Eddie Watson, and Tommy Plovanich.
Survivors include daughter Rita (Miles) Watson; son Tom Plovanich; foster son Mike Castro; 7 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great- grandchildren.
